Terry Sefcik has 28 years of experience as a Systems Analyst in an academic research environment, particularly with clinical trials, including application design and development, applications programming, supervision of data management staff, and technology education and training. She holds a Master of Science degree in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh, and her areas of expertise are the development of data management applications for multi-site clinical trials and data management tracking systems. She has been with the Center for Research on Health Care Data Center (CRHC-DC) since its inception, and as part of the center has worked on numerous grants, primarily R01, U01, and K awards, and has worked with research teams from the University of Pittsburgh, UPMC, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, and Magee-Womens Hospital. Terry currently leads the application development team for the following clinical trials, for which the CRHC-DC is the Data Coordinating Center: CMV Antiviral Prevention Strategies in D+R- Liver Transplants (CAPSIL), Consortium of Radiologic Imaging Studies of Polycystic Kidney Disease (CRISP), and Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease Genetic Modifier Study (ADPKD-Modifier).
