WHAT IS A PATIENT OR COMMUNITY PARTNER?

Patient partners and community partners typically do not have scientific training, but have deep knowledge of health problems from their lived experiences. They become members of research teams and help to guide health research to ensure that it addresses topics of importance to patients and caregivers and that the research processes are appropriate.
